// 01
Neocat Ad Killer is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that automatically skips pre-recorded sponsor segments, self-promotion, and outros in Kill Tony YouTube videos. It does this by querying the public SponsorBlock API to retrieve community-submitted ad timestamps for the current video.
// 02
No personal data is collected. The extension does not know who you are, where you are, or anything about your device or browsing habits.
The extension makes two types of network requests. First, it queries the public SponsorBlock API (sponsor.ajay.app) to fetch ad segment timestamps for the current YouTube video. This is a read-only request — no user information is included or returned.
Second, when a segment is skipped, the extension sends the duration of that skip in seconds to our server at neocat.ca. This number is added to a global time saved counter displayed in the extension and on our website. Only the number of seconds is transmitted — no user ID, no IP address, and no session identifier is stored or logged.
// 03
The extension saves your toggle preferences (master on/off switch and per-category settings) to your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to Neocat Software or any third party.
Your cumulative personal time saved is also stored locally on your device and displayed in the extension popup. This figure is calculated on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
// 04
The extension queries the SponsorBlock API, an open-source community project. When the extension fetches segment data, the SponsorBlock server receives the YouTube video ID of the video you are currently watching. Please refer to the SponsorBlock privacy policy for details on how they handle that information.
This landing page uses Google Analytics. That applies to the website only — not to the extension itself.
// 05
The extension requests the following browser permissions, each used exclusively for the functionality described:
youtube.com — to detect Kill Tony videos and monitor video playback position for skipping.
sponsor.ajay.app — to fetch ad segment timestamps from the SponsorBlock API.
neocat.ca — to POST the number of seconds saved per skip to our anonymous global time counter.
storage — to save your toggle preferences and personal time saved locally on your device.
tabs — to relay toggle changes from the popup to the active tab's content script.

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Given the nature of the extension, we do not anticipate any meaningful changes.
